Opening Events During GEW

Today marks the first official day of GEW/USA 2012 and partners across the nation have planned kick-off events and other activities to celebrate the start of the week.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has a full week of events planned for students starting with the Keynote Address and Kickoff of Global Entrepreneurship Week today. The University of South Carolina's Center for Entrepreneurial and Technological Innovation will be hosting the VIP Global Entrepreneurship Week Reception as they gear up for their other main events.

Southeast Missouri State University's Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will be hosting the Keynote Address and Kickoff Ceremony to open their schedule of GEW events, while St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida will be starting their celebrations with an Opening Ceremony, "Bringing Ideas to Life".

To lead off statewide celebrations of entrepreneurship, Louisiana will be celebrating GEW during BREW 2012, with the BREW 2012 Kickoff event, and Governor Christine Gregorie of Washington State and Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter of Idaho have declared statewide celebrations of GEW with various business and networking events competitions and more.
