Think. Do. Next. Startup Boot Camp for Women
Drake University to host Third Startup Boot Camp for Women
Des Moines, Iowa (October 22, 2013) – Join us in November the Third Startup Boot Camp for Women, a series of workshops designed to help women-owned businesses get off the ground. Turn your idea into a new venture. Learn how to pitch your new business. Get feedback from experts and entrepreneurs. And learn the latest methods to get going.
The Boot Camp will take place over two weekend sessions:
- Friday, November 8, 5:30 to 9 pm
- Saturday, November 9, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
- Friday, November 15, 5:30 to 9 pm
- Saturday, November 16, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
The Boot Camp is being facilitated by Prof. Tom Swartwood, Assistant Professor of Practice–Entrepreneurship and Assistant Director of the Buchanan Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. As an entrepreneur who is tuned-in to the local startup community, Tom will bring mentors into the Boot Camp to help participants develop their ideas into workable plans. In the previous Boot Camp, women of all ages – college students to retirees – received help from our experts in honing their business plans and getting their ideas off the ground. The Boot Camp is also designed to help attendees get to know the local community better and provide valuable networking opportunities.
The cost for these sessions is $125, with qualifying discounts for Drake Alumni and Staff; meals are included. For more information and to register, please visithttp://www.drake.edu/cbpa/centers/events/startupbootcampforwomen/ or contact Prof. Swartwood firstname.lastname@example.org.
