Glow in The Dark (SoPlat Relaunch Party)
SoPlat Media, an innovative media company specializing in photo, video, and graphic production, will be debuting its new and improved approach to social media at their “Glow in the Dark” relaunch party on November 23, 2013 in Ferndale.
The public are invited to attend the relaunch party at Rust Belt Market Event Space in Ferndale at Woodward Avenue and 9 Mile Road from 9 pm to 2 am., with a private reception starting at 8 for the Chamber of Commerce, local business owners, and the media, featuring food and beverages provided by Woodward Avenue Brewers and local Ferndale distillery Valentine Vodka. Guests are also eligible for prizes and free swag from SoPlat. Admission is free, but all guests will be required to check in at the event via Facebook.
SoPlat Media founder and CEO, Joe Venuto, partnered with childhood friend, Ian Cole, one year ago to breathe new energy into the company. Together, with a new business model in hand, they are breaking new ground with their exciting and cutting-edge way to experience social content across all platforms. With a current and past client list that includes Burn Rubber Sneaker Boutique, Varsity Ford, hip hop recording artist Big Sean, rapper Wale, and various local restaurants and bars, the relaunch party is set to debut SoPlat’s shift toward producing high-quality, creative digital media to allow its clients a way to better connect with their current and prospective followers.
“I started this company in my bedroom four years ago while directing Michigan Global Entrepreneurship Week,” says Venuto. “Over the years I’ve discovered that there are many businesses, both big and small, that are looking to amp up their social presence but aren’t really sure how to do it. Our philosophy at SoPlat is to create stunning content for a wide range of social platforms, from Facebook and Instagram to lifestyle blogs and YouTube channels. Basically, our content is the stepping stone between a business and their fan base, whether that business is a large corporation with an existing social presence that needs a boost or an independent blogger just starting out and looking to make a name for themselves in the social media world.”
To showcase SoPlat’s premier approach to social media content, this one-of-a-kind event will be a 360° experience, with all-night entertainment, live music, prizes and free swag from SoPlat, and an electrifying light and sound show presented by Technologic—all while projecting the company’s content reels throughout the venue. Live music will feature Detroit-area rockers Seven Birds One Stone; up-and-coming rapper Jupiter Jim from the Pro Letarians; a guest appearance from emcee "Champion" of Michigan, Ro Spit; and DJ Dirty Harry spinning electronic beats to cap off the evening.
