Founder, SUSTAINABLE STRATEGIES - Advisors In Food And Agriculture, an advisory firm providing strategic services regarding food, livestock and agricultural businesses and organizations; value added product development and processing; organic agricultural systems, operations and certification; business development; cooperative development; community development; government relations and policy; as well as international trade analysis, strategies and market development. Currently a strategic advisor to organic agricultural initiatives and organic industry projects, as well as the Organic Trade Association, USDA Foreign Agriculture Service, US Department of State and the Global Animal Partnership. For 31 years, until 2000, he was Owner, President and CEO of Walnut Acres Organic Farms, one of the founding and most respected vertically integrated organic foods businesses in the United States.
Mr. Anderson has taught at Washington College, MD, Penn State University, Yale University, Susquehanna University, Bucknell University and at the FDA and USDA FAS. He has previously served as an advisor to Penn State’s sustainable agriculture curriculum.
