Garfield County: Dine With Downtown
Local business owners will be invited into the PHS Business Lab for lunch with interested students, and will give a 5-7 minute presentation about the challenges and rewards of operating a business in the industry they represent in a rural community. The students can then ask questions and interact with the business owner during the 30 minute session. Industries represented will be Finance, Insurance, AgriBusiness w/an export emphasis, Home-based Food Production, and Retail w/an e-commerce emphasis. SEWEDA will buy the speakers lunch from the high school cafeteria, and the daily sessions will be facilitated by SEWEDA Managing Director for Garfield County, Alesia Ruchert, and FBLA advisor, Amy Miller. Mrs. Miller’s newly revived FBLA Chapter is in its 3rd year, and has sent delegates to state competition the past 2 years.
